The Friends of Lorine Niedecker will once again host this annual celebration of Lorine's life and work. 

 

Along with exhibits at the Hoard Historical Museum about Lorine and her work, there will be open mics at Café Carpe, presentations by editors and artists who collaborated with poets, panels on programs for public poetry at the Dwight Foster Public Library, and workshops on Blackhawk Island where Lorine lived.

 

Presenters include: Kimberly Blaeser, Nick Demske, Tom Montag, and David Wilk, among many others. See the full list here, and the full schedule of events here.

Festival presenter, David Wilk, will give a reading with Lisa Fishman and Patrick Morrissey on Sunday, October 18 at 2 pm. Wilk will also conduct a publishing talk with Carmen Gimenez Smith on Friday, October 16 at 2 pm.

 

Both programs will take place at Woodland Pattern Book Center.
