Renee Baker Composer Statement:

"My compositions result in concert experiences that attract a traveled palate. My vision for contemporary music as well as jazz and other new music genres conjures more traditional associations at times. CMOP provides inspired revelations with every concert but there will always be the occasional bite. My compositions, both traditional and non, exist on the fringe. I thrill to bring these blossoms to the nose as a treat for coming. To evoke and inspire cultural context, comments and movement and to provoke a reaction. I’m functioning as a conduit but also as an architect of ouevres."
