Syntjuntan
Syntjuntan is an ensemble of female musicians, composers, and instrument builders from Stockholm, Sweden formed in 2009 by Ann Rosén, Lise-Lotte Norelius, and Ida Lundén. They make music especially composed for electronic textile accessories. A tangled music with lace and long stitches, embroidered with electronic sounds, square waves and curled noise. "In Syntjuntan we all play the same type of instruments: home built or stitched synths, processed with effect boxes or computer.

We started Syntjuntan to meet women's curiosity for technology and electronics, to encourage them to build instruments and other means to facilitate their own experimentation with electronic music and improvisation."

Ida Lundén is a composer and performer based in Stockholm, Sweden. As a composer her main focus is chamber music and electronic music. She performs as a solo artist as well as many in different constellations mainly focusing on electronic and improvised music.

Ann Rosén is a sound artist, composer, musician, instrument builder, visual artist, director, and project manager working in the studios at EMS (Institute for Electroacoustic Music) in Sweden. She is an active member of Fylkingen, a society of practicing artists devoted to the production and promotion of new music and intermedia art.

Lise-Lotte Norelius has been a freelance musician since the early 1980's with a background in traditional African music, experimental rock, pop, world music, and free improvisation. She studied electroacoustic music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and has continued to work with live electronics and real time processing of anything in the fields of electroacoustic music, noise, electronica, and improv.
