Lou Mallozzi is a sound artist and improviser from Chicago. His most recent projects have included "Train Time," a monumental surround-sound installation for Chicago's Millennium Park in collaboration with Olivia Block, Shawn Decker, and Ryan Ingebritsen; improvised music concerts with Michael Zerang, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Charlotte Hug, Magda Mayas, and Anthea Caddy; and presentations of installations, audio art, and performances at the Subtropics Festival XX in Miami. He has recorded with Carlos Zingaro, Birgit Uhler, Fred Lonberg-Holm and many others.
Percussionist, improvisor and composer Michael Zerang has co-founded and performed with the musical groups Liof Munimula, The Neutrino Orchestra, Trio Troppo, The Wonderfuls, The Blue Angels, Sam Pappas' Tumbling Strains, Frozen Lucy, The Quirt Quintet, Musica Menta, The Vandermark Quartet, Dream Cheese, The Sputter Ensemble, In Zenith, and Broken Wire. In addition to these ensembles, he currently performs with many of contemporary music's most innovative musicians including AACM co-founder Fred Anderson, Mats Gustafsson, Raymond Strid, Jaap Blonk, Peter Brötzmann, Kent Kessler, Jim Baker, Hamid Drake, Ken Vandermark, Luc Hautkamp, and Fred Lonberg-Holm.
