Thursday, May 20, 7pm, FREEThe Films of Rudy Burckhardt: a presentation by poet Simon Pettet Poet Pettet will be on hand to reminisce and unspool 8 or so delicacies (from 1946-1999) from photographer/filmmaker Rudy Burckhardt. The program will spotlight collaborations with poets John Ashbery, Kenneth Koch, and Ron Padgett. Edwin Denby writes that we should "take it [Burckhardt's work] as a wonderfully touching dream and as an amazing marvel of filmmaking." |
