Community Ties Raffle - Call for Ties!
"Bad Ties for a Good Cause"
Woodland Pattern Book Center needs your ties. Whether old or new, vintage or cartoon - we'll take as many as you can give us. Every year, during the Locust Street Festival of Music & Art Woodland Pattern holds a mini-fundraiser entitled, Community Ties Raffle! Tickets cost $2 each or 3 for $5.
Entrants are eligible to win a multitude of prizes from local Riverwest businesses, and all proceeds go towards Woodland Pattern programming. So, if you're a little late on your spring cleaning, remember us, and think twice before you toss the tie!
Ties can be delivered to Woodland Pattern Book Center any time during store hours.

| Bad Ties for a Good Cause |
The Locust Street Festival of Music & Art is one of Milwaukee's most attended Street Festivals. It kicks off at 11:30am with the traditional 1.8 mile Beer Run (or Walk) through Riverwest. It features 20 bands on 5 outdoor stages, over 60 artist and craft booths, clowns, balloons, and a variety of food and drink, with over 30,000 people attending.

Buy a Ticket, Get a Tie, and Support Woodland Pattern
Tickets cost $2 each or 3 for $5. With each ticket you purchase, you receive a tie. Not bad if you're still shopping for Father's Day gifts!
We're still in need of ties, so if you have some oldies hanging in your closet, don't hesitate to donate them!
Children's Activities 1pm-3pm (FREE)
There will be a Children's Activity table set up outside of Woodland Pattern during the Locust Street Festival! Don't hesitate to bring your little ones by to learn the latest techniques in literary arts and crafts.
Scrabble Tournament

One of Wisconsin's top ranked Scrabble players, Renato Umali invites you to test your wordplay skills in Woodland Pattern's gallery during the 34th Annual Locust Street Festival.
Renato Umali is Wisconsin's 3rd ranked Scrabble player and will play up to six challengers simultaneously in timed matches.
Additional Scrabble tables will be available for more casual play.
Renato Umali, an accomplished Scrabble player, has participated in many National Scrabble Association tournaments, including two national tourneys. His biggest accomplishment, and indeed, one of the best days of the Year 2008, was winning his division of the 1-Day Big Apple Scrabble tournament held in Manhattan.
