Woodland Pattern™    Book   Center Poetry Archive		Rachel Levitsky Rachel Levitsky's current projects include Neighbor and the novella The Story of My Accident is Ours. Her poetry collection, Under the Sun, was published by Futurepoem in 2003. She is the author of several chapbooks including The Adventures of Yaya and Grace (A + Bend, 1999) and Dearly, (A + Bend, 1999). She is the founder and co-curator of the Belladonna* series. Belladonna* is a reading series and small press that promotes the work of women writers who are adventurous, experimental, politically involved, multi-form, multicultural, multi-gendered, impossible to define, delicious to talk about, unpredictable, dangerous with language.

Of the beauty of a red brick wall it doesn't much speak nor offer consolation but in the flat resistance to another's identity and yet it repeats in town after industrial town the street below always quiet and formed yes, formed. The town around is not a depressing one; it's close to a wide and heavy river, the old people moved out. Their houses have not been removed.
